I joined paklinks.com or as it is affectionately known "gup shup dot com, because not having visited Pakistan in an insanely long time, I was looking to find a forum to get updated on the latest. What an unlucky day that was!
Let's start with the technical part of it. When you want to register, you are asked very few questions like username, password and a time zone. Simple. But what comes next is great. You get a message telling you your account is now under review and whether or not it will activated will be decided soon and an email will be sent to you accepting or rejecting your registration. Does anyone else see anything wrong with that?How do you accept or reject a registration based on a username and time zone?? Is that even legal? ha. Moreover, you are most likely to find an "account rejected" email in your inbox later.Retarded? Indeed.
After a few trys, if you do get accepted, you may not post a link, a picture or any material of the sort unless you have 25 posts. How do new posters fix that? They spam. They spam a thread trying to get to 25 posts as quickly as they can, so they begin to move up from their second-class member position.
Now if you're looking for a free forum -- freedom on speech, ideas or debate, then paklinks.com is not the place for you. The admins and moderators are conservative, semi-religious (or very), middle-aged (or older) men and women (mostly men) with clearly no lives or concept of individuality. The posters can only post material that can slide under their intolerant radar. If a poster writes something that encourages free speech, the moderators and admins will go in and change the post! They will edit out any information they choose without giving a satisfactory reason. The angry poster will then waste his/her time arguing over the issue only to hear a hitler-type reply until the moderators/admins run out of excuses to justify their dictatorship mentality. They will then proceed to close the poor posters thread giving them a warning on his/her questioning behavior. What is it? The slave era?? Do not question the master?
Disgusting.
Remember, you may not criticize anything on the site. Ever. The site layout, design, any pictures posted -- even if they are public property, any other poster or material posted. God forbid you are criticizing a moderator!! That's grounds for a death penalty! And mind you, you might be writing in good taste with no profanity, no finger pointing and no name calling. You might be even giving some great constructive criticism. But if you happened to be "messing" with someone who is a moderator or a friend of a moderator, you're going to have the whole clan of ignorant, ill-informed, highly unprofessional, arrogant retards bombard you with warnings, cheap shots, defensive and rude replies in response to your genuine effort to speak your mind. Now if you're adamant (dumb) enough to question those warnings and demand an explanation, you'll have moderators take a break from kissing each other's asses and respond to your demand with an impolite response which will mostly not even make any sense. So quit while you're ahead.
Now this paklinks is not exactly a haven for technology. My 8 year old niece can develop a better organized site that makes more sense. So you'd think after being up for 13 years, they would upgrade the site. Nope. Not that case. Recently, they added a new slogan to the site "Yes we can". Heard it before? Of course you have! It's the slogan of the Obama campaign! You'd imagine a "team" of "experts" sitting behind the computer running this place could come up with something that could be remotely original? Sadly, they cannot. So when members joked about originality, they got nasty responses saying, "this slogan works its purpose, why tweak/change it." Is it just me or this answer doesn't make any sense. It also seems like it came from someone with an IQ of no more than 70 -- which by the way is the average IQ of the moderators/admins there. So I suppose no surprise there..!
I am an internet junkie. I spend a lot of time behind my lappy and most of this time is spend in research work, studying, playing occasional games, networking and such. So it's safe to assume I can estimate a website's financial worth if I visit it often enough. I wouldn't buy this site if it was free! The amount of work that needs to be done on it to revamp it is ridiculous! So then why do a bunch of middle-agers treat it like a multi-billion dollar corporation?!Yes. They do. They have titles, positions, ranks which they take so seriously, it makes one wonder if these people have lives of their own. There's a CEO! a Director, CMs (channel managers), admins, moderators and the list goes on. I really want to know how you become the CEO of a crappy, good for nothing website? Do you get paid? Do you have to study for it? Is there a degree involved? Or maybe you just have to be a rude old hag with no life and lots of time. I think it's the latter. Once you start posting, you hear about CEO, Director "meetings" and propositions, appointment of moderators and motions! (I'm actually laughing right now)..!What??? What are you talking about? The next Presidential elections?? Hello! Wake up call! You're a crappy site with nothing to offer and oh! You need lives!
So keeping with that, the new "Director" of paklinks.com replied to a member who had a concern by publicly telling her that her concern is not even on his list of things to do, he doesn't' even find it important enough to deal with and that now, without giving her a chance to reply, he is closing her thread...!! What???? Really??

If the "director" is such a dick head, you can imagine how retarded the team must be. Anyway, incase you wish to be awarded the title of moderator, you must start kissing ass right away. This includes, but is not limited to, the moderators' friends, moderators themselves, admins, CMs, CEO (lol) and so forth. To be on the safe side, just slap a kiss on any ass you see online.The new "director" also told the members that he appoints moderators based on their ability to "never question his authority" (I'm seriously cracking up)!Really? This only leads me to believe he has no life, no family, has no control in the real world and paklinks.com is the only place he can exercise his manhood and feel like a real man. I wonder if he puts "paklinks Director" on his "real world" resume. (ha.. ha)
Now, its very easy to get banned. So if you are persistent in questioning "authority", rest assured, you will get banned. So when you log back on, you will see a message that says you have been banned -- reason= not given, time ban will be lifted= never.Can you smell the arrogance and idiocy in this? Of course you can.
So basically, paklinks.com is a collection of Pakistani retards with no concept of a free world with free speech. Members are treated like third rate citizens while the admins "rule" this crappy online world in their Sadam-like ways. Such attitudes have brought whole nations down and I can't wait to see how soon this site loses more members. Actually, it's membership is already very low and I don't see it going up.My advice? Stay away from it. Do not sign up. i.e IF you are accepted in this oh so elite community! (ha...ha). And if you do happen to sign up for the heck of it, make sure you are always shooting rainbows out of your ass because if you ever want to express your thoughts, you will be warned! So that's a big no-no.Paklinks.com is a crappy, cheap, tech-challenged, ignorant place with no consideration of a free, global network.
It saddens me to see that places like this represent Pakistan and it's community. Pakistan is not a land of idiots where retards rule like Hitler. Sadly, sites like these trash it's name and culture.
I am a person who appreciates and loves all people, cultures and communities. I am appalled at these low-lifes and their ignorant views. I hope to see a forum that can clear the garbage that paklinks.com has created and make people understand the Pakistani culture.
